Laser Liposuction SlimLipo™
Dr. Oz recently featured FDA- approved SlimLipo by LifeSculpt during the “Age Erasers” segment. Dr. Oz discussed how a laser based enhancement to liposuction can help patients look and feel better by “melting” unwanted fat and tightening skin through soft tissue coagulation-offering patients a more desirable, youthful look. This technology is exclusively offered to you by Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Brad Bengtson. Firm body contours show off the results of your healthy habits, but in some cases even regular exercise and good nutrition are not enough to correct isolated areas of excess fat. SlimLipo is often the best surgical solution to achieve a more firm, tighter look that truly reflects your active lifestyle. This procedure is among the top most requested cosmetic procedures today. SlimLipo goes directly to problem areas like the chin, neck, arms, thighs, abdomen, and love handles and melts away the fat. Using revolutionary laser body sculpting technology, SlimLipo is a less-invasive surgical procedure that directly targets unwanted fat cells in as little as an hour per area. As a result of the laser melting the fat, your skin can also be toned and tightened. And because of the precision laser technology, fewer surrounding tissues are affected – meaning you’ll experience less discomfort and minimal downtime. You’re as little as an hour away from a whole new you!

Slimmer refined results – take a look at our clinical before and after photos as well as the video link on Laser Liposuction that was featured on The Dr. Oz Show™. This can be viewed on the Bengtson Center website.
Which parts of my body can be treated?
The SlimLipo laser procedure removes excess fat and effectively sculpts almost anywhere on your body — from your cheeks all the way down to the bottom of your calves — to create a more flattering figure. Some of the common areas of the body that can benefit from SlimLipo are: abdomen, back, buttocks, chin & neck, love handles, male chest, thighs and upper arms.
Is this just for women?
No — the procedure is for both women and men who have areas of unwanted fat including mens breast and flanks.
What can SlimLipo do for me?
Laser body sculpting is the 21st century solution for contouring your physique and quickly achieving the body you want. SlimLipo treats your problem areas gently but firmly — removing fat, tightening skin and reducing irregular contouring. This highly-targeted laser lipolysis system is also ideal for smaller, hard-to-address areas like the chin or back.
Is SlimLipo right for me?
SlimLipo is for men and women with areas of unwanted fat they want to get rid of quickly — particularly challenging areas that don’t respond to diet and exercise. Dr. Bengtson will help you determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure but typically our patients are:
- In good physical health and regularly exercise
- Within about 25 pounds of their ideal weight
- Looking to target localized, stubborn fat deposits
What does this treatment feel like?
You may be pleasantly surprised how little discomfort the typical patient feels. Similar to a heavy workout pain, our system is designed to minimize unnecessary trauma to the body.
Is this different from traditional liposuction?
Yes, very different. The SlimLipo laser surgical procedure pre-treats the fat, minimizing bleeding and pain, and helps reduce healing times. Also, traditional liposuction physically breaks up and suctions out intact fat cells, while SlimLipo efficiently melts and liquefies fat, which is then removed from your body. Answered simply: SlimLipo is easier on your body, removing fat cell contents with less trauma.
How long is recovery time?
Typically, four to five days. Treating localized areas, many patients can go to work the very next day. You may see slight bruising which may take several weeks to completely resolve. Compression garments may be required for a short period of time. Dr. Bengtson will discuss post-procedure instructions and what you can expect during your recovery period.
