For the Bengtson Center, 2019 has been a year of BIG moves, BIG changes, and BIG news! We started by moving into our beautiful new office at 2155 East Paris Ave. Then we threw a massive open house to celebrate with all of our friends. And now, just when you think we'd be ready to kick back and settle in, we're continuing to shake things up in a good way. Grand Rapids plastic surgeon, Dr. Brad Bengtson, is welcoming a board-certified plastic surgeon who will be joining him in our state-of-the-art surgical suites. Everybody get ready to say hello (and get in line for) Dr. David Alfonso!

Dr. Alfonso received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in 2002, spending five years in Grand Rapids for his residency, which focused on combined surgery and plastic surgery. After a brief time away in New York (where he underwent training with some of the top plastic surgeons in the United States), he brought his family back to Grand Rapids, where he's been in practice ever since.

In terms of experience, Dr. Alfonso has done just about everything, with a particular focus on surgical body contouring, facial cosmetic surgery, and breast surgery (both cosmetic and reconstructive). On the non-surgical side, he is accomplished with BOTOX and JUVÉDERM facial fillers and is a certified national trainer for the injectables. He also has extensive experience in laser treatments. Dr. Alfonso is also fluent in Spanish!

As an international presenter, Dr. Alfonso brings even more of a global perspective to Grand Rapids - Michigan's world-class city. We are beyond excited to have him on the team. And we're sure that you will be excited to see the results he can provide!
