Between work, family, workouts, chores, social commitments, and the occasional moment to yourself, the hours you can carve out for self-care are already tight. Busy modern life demands better aesthetic solutions.
GlowTox adds a VI Peel® to your existing BOTOX® appointment — just 10 extra minutes — to treat wrinkles, sun damage, uneven tone, texture, acne, acne scarring, and skin elasticity all at once. Clinical data that shows the combination outperforms either treatment on its own. It’s effective, efficient rejuvenation for multiple signs of aging in one visit.
GlowTox is now available at both Symmetry Med Spa by Bengtson Center locations in Grand Rapids and Byron Center, MI. Book your appointment today.

A GlowTox treatment pairs two of our most popular nonsurgical treatments, the VI Peel® from The Vitality Institute and BOTOX® Cosmetic, in the same appointment. The chemical peel is applied first, followed immediately by the neurotoxin injections.
The order of the treatment protocol is intentional. The VI Peel® contains an ingredient with a mild numbing effect, which makes the injections that follow more comfortable. The peel’s ingredients also have antimicrobial properties, so your skin is cleansed and prepped for a more sterile injection process.
The GlowTox treatment adds about 10 minutes to your standard BOTOX® appointment. Two treatments, one visit, and your best glow yet.
Rather than spot-treating one concern at a time, GlowTox delivers bigger-picture rejuvenation and a host of additional benefits:
Wrinkles get a lot of attention, but they’re only one part of what makes your skin look older. With a GlowTox treatment, BOTOX® takes care of the dynamic lines that form with muscle movement while the VI Peel® addresses the overall foundation and health of your skin.
A 2024 clinical study published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology found that patients who received a same-day VI Peel® and BOTOX® combination experienced:
One hundred percent of the study participants felt their skin looked better in just seven days.
Your Aesthetic Expert will start with an assessment of your skin and goals to determine the right treatment plan.
Step One: From there, your skin is thoroughly cleansed until all oils and debris are removed. The VI Peel® is then applied in four to six thin layers, with your Aesthetic Expert monitoring your skin for redness and irritation between each application.
Step Two: Once the peel is complete, your Aesthetic Experiment moves directly into the BOTOX® injections. Because the peel’s ingredients help to numb your skin, you may find the injections even more comfortable than during a typical BOTOX® appointment.
Post-Treatment: Afterward, your Aesthetic Experiment will walk you through post-care instructions and send you home with a VI Peel® aftercare kit that includes post-peel towelettes (to continue the exfoliation process), a Post-Treatment Repair Cream, and VI Derm SPF 50 to protect your skin while it heals.
Stay upright for four hours following your appointment and avoid strenuous exercise for 48 to 72 hours. You may take acetaminophen for any mild tenderness, and arnica cream or tablets can help minimize bruising around injection sites. A follow-up visit is typically scheduled for two weeks after your treatment.
Symmetry Med Spa offers two VI Peel® formulas for your GlowTox treatment. Your Aesthetic Expert will recommend the right option based on your skin type and primary concerns.
VI Peel Precision Plus
Best for: Sun damage, dark spots, melasma, and uneven skin tone. Ideal if pigmentation and photodamage are your main concerns alongside wrinkles.
VI Peel Purify With Precision Plus
Best for: Acne-prone skin with pigmentation concerns. Ideal if you’re dealing with active breakouts, post-acne scarring, or blemishes as well as dynamic lines.
With a standalone BOTOX® treatment, what you see at two weeks is your final result. With GlowTox, the results keep building.
GlowTox suits nearly all skin types and concerns. The best candidates are already receiving or considering BOTOX® and want more from their treatments. If you’ve ever wished that BOTOX® could do something about your sun spots, texture, acne, or dull skin, this is the add-on for you.
GlowTox may not be appropriate if you have an active skin infection in the treatment area, a known allergy to any of the chemical peel’s ingredients, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your Aesthetic Expert will review your skin health and medical history during your consultation to make sure GlowTox is a good fit.
Schedule your GlowTox consultation at Symmetry Med Spa. GlowTox is available at both of our Michigan locations: Grand Rapids and Byron Center. Call us at 616-202-5640 or book your appointment online.
The VI Peel® add-on extends your standard BOTOX® appointment by about 10 minutes. The full GlowTox treatment typically takes 30 minutes or less.
Mild peeling and redness are common after the VI Peel®. Purging or mild acne breakouts can occur after any exfoliating treatment. BOTOX® injections may cause swelling or bruising.
You should wait to apply makeup until at least four hours has passed after your treatment and you have used the first post-peel towelette included in your aftercare kit.
Most patients schedule GlowTox at the same frequency as their regular neurotoxin appointments (every 3-4 months). This maintains your wrinkle-relaxing results while giving the VI Peel® time to continue correcting pigmentation, texture, and tone between visits.
